Product Features

The main difference between the Advanced and the Cellular packages with Senior Safety is the use of a landline. If you have a landline, Advanced is probably the right choice for you. It offers 60 hours of back up battery in case of a power outage, works with any home phone service, and comes with a help button which offers a remarkable 1000 foot range from the base. This means you are free to use the whole house, garden and driveway and not be in fear of an emergency where you can’t access help. Lightweight, portable and waterproof, you can choose between necklace or bracelet style, and wear it at all times. Cellular offers all of this without the need for a landline phone. They both have up to a 60 hour backup battery if you have a power outage.

Extra features offered in Advanced are Family check in functionality which is a great feature which allows you to patch directly into your loved ones home over the loudspeaker and check that everything is okay. They also offer the ability to answer the phone using the help button, creating a way for your alert system to act as a cell phone as you move around your property or stay put.

Mobile option

The GPS mobile solution works for up to 72 hours on a single charge and comes with a charging cradle so you can easily keep it fully charged at any time. Powered by AT&T it features powerful location tracking so that you can always be found in case of an emergency. With a compact and lightweight design, you can speak to operators directly and they can assess your needs and get you the help you require. This system is also used for families to help children feel secure being independent on a day out or in a crowded place.

Installation Process

The in home systems are so simple to set up, there is no need to send staff members out to complete this process along with a hefty price tag. Rather, Senior Safety charge no set-up or installation fees, and send easy set-up instructions to help you get started on your own. If you can plug in a phone jack or a plug into a power outlet, you will have no trouble setting up your system. If you have any problems, and your loved one is unable to complete this process on their own, you can call for the support team to walk them through it step by step. You can sign up online or over the phone, and your equipment will be shipped at no cost. Senior Safety recommend you test your equipment once a month by pressing the help button and informing trained staff that you were testing the device.

Contract & Fees

There are three options available, Advanced, Cellular and Mobile GPS. Most people will find Advanced suits their at home needs, but if you don’t have a landline you will want to choose Cellular. Advanced starts at $26.95 per month for an annual plan, plus $7 per month to add on fall detection. Cellular’s annual plan is the cheapest too, for $33.95 per month without the $7 monthly fall detection coverage. The Mobile option means you are covered nationwide and starts at $35.95 per month. There are no installation or set-up fees with any of these, but the mobile GPS package does have a one-time $80 activation cost.
